In the app
In Chat, open Account → Security → Delete account, then press “Delete it”. It happens at once and cannot be undone.
Chat on the web is at anandians.com/console/chat.
Without the app
Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We act within 7 days.
We may ask you to confirm from that address, so that no one can delete an account that is not theirs.
What is removed at once
Your profile, settings and memberships, your sign-in, and every device you are signed in on.
Your files and photos
Hidden at once, and erased for good after 7 days.
Messages you already sent
They stay in the other people’s conversations, without your name.
What we keep
- A security record of actions on the account, to protect people and meet the law.
- Your sign-up information for 180 days where the law requires it (IT Rules, 2021, rule 3(1)(h)).
- Encrypted backups, which roll over and are gone within 6 months.
- Server logs, for 14 days.
Before you delete
Download your data: a copy of your profile, settings, memberships, files, the messages you sent and your reactions. Live Until it is available on production, write to [email protected] from the address on your account to ask for a copy. See your rights.
How long it takes
In the app, at once. By email, within 7 days.
